Chapter Two Blast!

Having a "half-baked" plan is just as bad as not having a plan at all. As you may have read, I was definitely working towards something, but I wasn't quite sure what that "something" was or how I'd reach it. In the end, however, I learned that impetuousness is never the substitute for a well thought out course of action. Now that I look back, I can actually laugh at a few of my choices - like going on interviews with absolutely no idea of the job detail! What half-baked moments can you recall that make you smile or chuckle? Share!

After reading No Box, I began to reflect on why some people pursue their dreams and others don't. I talked to my mother the other day. She told me that she used to write scripts for a sitcom, but never did anything with them. She actually threw them away. My husband said that some people need a catalyst to help them pursue their dreams. At least in Chapter 2 you were trying to do something.
Well, I am planning my first No Box Social as a cataylst to help someone else pursue their dream. Starting with my own family, we will read No Box together and share our passions. Now, my family has Never done anything remotely close to this before. It actually would be easier if I just invited some girlfriends to the social. However, I have decided to start at home, encouraging my own loved ones. Then, each one of us will branch out and have NO Box Socials with friends.
I can't wait for my first one. Planning this social helps me to really focus on how I can encourage someone else. I will post a blog after the social.
Is anyone else planning a No Box Social?

I am planning a No Box Family Social and a NO Box Friends Social.
I plan to use our family Christmas dinner as my opportunity to encourage and uplift family members. I will have a journal on a table as everyone comes in. We will read each dream out loud and promise to encourage each other throughout the next year. That's the only time everyone will be in one place.
