Privacy...What's That?
Due to the recent media frenzy surrounding Tiger Woods, I felt it necessary to alter my post - just a little. (I couldn't resist. I had to jump on the topic!) Now, we all know there is a price for fame and while celebrities do what they can to dim the spotlight on their personal lives, companies are banking on the rest of the world to fully and freely relinquish their rights to privacy - and we do! Social media has taken the world by storm and even though most will stick to their, "everyone should just mind their own business," platforms, numbers don't lie - information is on a "need-to-know" basis and we need to know it! Bloggers, I pose these questions: Why are social media outlets that push virtual ranting and chitchat so interesting? Why do we divulge so much...even at the conscious expense of our own privacies? Are we vain, having fun, "networking" or just plain bored? Furthermore, should celebrities, who choose not to partake in "socially inviting" media, be scrutinized for not sharing certain details of their lives with the public? Exclusives in exchange for fame and patronage? Speak!

everyone must understand that when you choose to accept fame that you also choose to give up a lot of your privacy . i think the real topic should be why are all these other women now steepin forward now? i mean kick a guy while hes down. it shows their true intentions. they never liked tiger at all, . MONEY MONEY.
First, we all (at least I) have some sort of skeletons in our closet. Most of us will never have to worry about it, because we are not, nor will we ever be famous. Whether they want it or not, one of the prices of fame is 24 hour scrutiny. Hell, even the non-celebrities face it. We are all being watched most of the time, whether it's with security cameras, company e-mail programs, or just someone with a cell phone wanting to catch the next youtube spot. As far as Tiger goes I could really care less, but I think the question that has to be asked is why did he cheat on his wife? If his marriage was going south divorce her and move on. If he wanted to be a player he should have never gotten married in the first place. As far as the other women go, they didn't see Tiger they saw dollar signs and he should have realized it.
Wow, Candy! I have alot of questions to answer, but great topic. Media outlets are so interesting because somehow we think that celebrities are not human, as if they live in a total different world. I will admit that I visit People.com at least twice a day. I particularly like People because they do not post stories unless they have actual facts to support their claims. I personally wouldn't want to read false stories. For me, its all fun and knowing what my favorite celebrites are doing. I want to see who they are married to, what fashion they are currently wearing & more importantly, the negative because this tells the true character. No, I do not think that celebrities who choose not to share intimate details of their life should be scrutinized. Personally, it makes me more interested in you because you are being very secretative. I have learned that no human on this earth is perfect. In one way, you will fail others. Ask for forgiveness and move on. The important thing is that you learn from the situation.
